Position Summary

Reporting to the Senior Manager of Consumer Marketing, this role is responsible for partnering with internal teams and external agencies in the development of global communications to support all the pillars of the company's brand, including consumer products, animation and scripted entertainment, promotions, awards and events.

This role will work closely on projects with another seasoned PR Manager who leads console and mobile gaming public relations. In addition to traditional public relations responsibilities, this role will have exposure to supporting additional marketing initiatives and special projects that build the company's brand and its wide variety of product and entertainment experiences.

Primary Responsibilities

·        Work with internal teams, external partners, and vendors to coordinate the accurate, timely, and persuasive release of information

·        Media relations plan creation

·        Press release writing and approval

·        Review of marketing communication language, timing and consistency globally

·        Managing day-to-day interaction with two PR agencies, and other communications vendors as needed

·        Act as spokesperson for the brand when appropriate

·        Build relationships with key media contacts covering all components of the business 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

·        +/- 8 years progressive marketing experience in communications and or public relations preferably with family entertainment and video game experience.

·        Ability to plan strategically on a global scale, work effectively with international stakeholders and ensure brand consistency across divisions, time zones and territories

·        Extensive experience and success in Product Launch management

·        Experience collaborating closely with Licensing, Media Sales (Scripted Entertainment), Product Development, Retail, Social Media and other essential departments

·        Experience working with and building influencer communities a plus

·        Experience in corporate communications for a global entertainment brand a plus

·        Exceptional attention to detail and timeliness

·        Strong verbal and written communication skills

·        Strong project management, creative concept, and plan execution skills

·        Established contacts in the video game, family entertainment industry and consumer media is a plus

·        Enthusiastic Team player


·        BA or BS or equivalent working experience
