Our client is looking for an exceptional Managing Supervisor or Vice President to lead strategic media relations programs that shape client reputations. He/she will focus on corporate reputation management, executive positioning and strategic media relations for a large global technology client. He/she will also provide counsel and lead media engagement for other business development efforts and new clients across technology, financial services and professional services. 

The ideal candidate should have a keen instinct for telling the right story through the right channel at the right time. He/she must have a true passion for and demonstrated ability in tier one business media relations. As such, he/she should have deep knowledge of the business media landscape and contacts across print, online and broadcast outlets. And most of all, he/she should be energetic and creative, able to manage multiple, diverse projects with ease, and enjoy breaking the mold of the way it’s always been done.

Responsibility and Scope

  • Lead programs designed to shape corporate reputation and brand halo, creatively developing compelling narratives and driving feature stories on behalf of the client on a global scale
  • Partner with clients to develop and execute communications plans for issues and corporate development events (e.g. M&A, ventures)
  • Collaborate with diverse areas of the business to identify, make connections and amplify unique stories in the media
  • Be an expert on adapting to and taking advantage of the changing world of journalism and content
  • Offer a solid understanding of the client’s media landscape and leverage relationships with key media contacts to develop feature stories
  • Develop strong relationships and maintain regular contact with clients, and proactively offer and implement new ways to meet and anticipate their business needs
  • Use industry expertise to identify trends and their relevance to client work, and be able to connect the dots to generate creative and strategic programs
  • Oversee the development of insightful account plans, campaign ideas and generate proactive ideas to help further the client’s brand and business goals
  • Develop high-quality written content (e.g. blogs, bylines, messaging)
  • Provide strategic guidance and mentorship to the agency and client team working on the corporate and strategic media teams
  • Work collaboratively with advertising, digital, media and production colleagues on integrated marketing programs for the client


  • 8-10 + years of work experience in public relations
  • Prior experience spanning corporate media, issues management, thought leadership and executive communications
  • Demonstrable media contacts in tier 1 print, online and broadcast business and tech media
  • Knowledge of technology industry
  • Excellent project management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work under deadlines
  • Excellent writer/editor with strong attention to detail
  • Experienced at competitive de-positioning
  • Experienced at interfacing with senior-level clients and business and marketing executives
  • Eagerness to learn in a fast-paced integrated marcom environment
