Description

We are looking for a sports lifestyle PR pro with 3-5 years sneaker/athletic apparel brands experience. A true sneaker head who loves all of the hype products and lives that scene. This Account Manager will have a working knowledge of all the influencers, places and directional media in the space. Loves music and youth culture scene and wants to work with talent (for example - music artists and athletes).
 

Account Management

  • Develop media strategies and go to market campaigns for key clients 
  • Manage and execute media relations for a sneaker brand
  • Develop seeding and influencer relations campaigns for sneaker brand
  • Study the market place and develop creative earned media executions to grow the credibility and reach of the sneaker brand across music, culture, lifestyle and entertainment verticals
  • The key function of this role is to know and live the market place and the connectors within it
  • Manage junior team members and help develop their careers
  • Manage relationships with clients and give media counsel as needed 
  • Support and contribute to all creative activations and earned media initiatives as part of project teams
  • Help to develop ongoing and long-term media strategies for key clients, in line with activation briefs

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The perfect person needs to have 3-5 years of public relations and communications experience across a wide range of brands and initiatives
  • They must be completely tapped into the cultural landscape and have a working knowledge of the latest sneaker and streetwear brands and products launching.
  • An unrivaled book of contacts across all key sectors. Lifestyle, consumer, and fashion
  • An intuitive grasp of key social platforms and how to use them as a lifestyle brand is a must for this role, you need to live, eat and sleep youth culture
  • Experience writing communications strategies and plans as well as executing them
  • A proven track record of delivering results in media relations campaigns
