Sr. Manager, Consumer Marketing

Position Summary

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Consumer Marketing this role is responsible for developing creative and effective strategies and tactics to maximize marketing reach and effectiveness across all product categories. Manages a team of 5-7. Advises the Sr. Director of Consumer Marketing and VP of Marketing on marketing strategy for multiple product categories. Manage all aspects of earned marketing initiatives, including PR, promotions, video production, co-marketing relationships and strategic partnerships. Must ensure marketing programs and messages are in line with creators vision for the brand as defined by our parent company in Japan. This position works in close collaboration with internal and external groups including fellow marketing teams, agency partners and product development. Video game experience a plus.

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop marketing plans based on marketing objectives and strategies.
  • Create and communicate plans to internal teams and external agencies. Ability to develop and communicate win/win scenarios which benefits both partner and company.
  • Ensure consistent application of positioning and messaging strategy across all components of the marketing mix
  • Lead cross-functional teams that include representation from Marketing, Product Development, TCG Sales, Media Sales, and the Office of the President.
  • Track and optimize performance of specific initiatives and of overall marketing program.
  • Share results and recommendations with team and senior leadership. Establish processes and best practices. 

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • 10 years progressive marketing experience. Preferably in kid’s entertainment and video game experience.   
  • Proven background of developing, negotiating and closing high impact relationships with partners and vendors.
  • Ability to travel worldwide and able to multi-task within and across company divisions, time zones and geographies.
  • Success operating with ambiguity and embraces change.
  • Team player.

Education

  • BA or BS or equivalent working experience.  An MBA is a plus.
